I chose to reference these disasters as these events can lead to the possibility of an apocalypse if not taken care of properly. Natural disasters, such as volcanoes can be catastrophic for the earths environment because, if Yellowstone national park was to erupt it would be a big enough eruption to cover the sky with thick black smoke for years. This means the sun will not be able to touch the ground and life will not thrive and eventually everything, and everyone will die.

Man-made disasters such as deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels, while it does benefit our daily lives by giving us the luxury commodities that we have grown to rely on, It doesn't benefit the earth. Its a proven fact that global oxygen levels have decreased slightly (low amount) due to the deforestation of the earths flora and burning of the fossil fuels. After humans are gone, Global oxygen levels would most likely increase due to the flora thriving without us there to cut it down and not pollution being dispersed into the environment.
